Lone Worker Personal Safety

This course is designed to help people whose occupation involves either wholly or partially working alone. It is suitable for those who work within the community or occupy a premises as a loneworker. Some examples of loneworkers who have attended similar courses include Housing Officers, Car Park Attendants, Voluntary workers, Carers, Health Visitors, Park Wardens and District Nurses.

The course is normally delivered in one day and although the content is tailored to suit the requirement of each client often consists of some or all of the following:

  • Safe Travelling
  • Environmental issues
  • Safe working practices
  • What causes aggression
  • How aggression can escalate
  • Using communication skills to diffuse conflict
  • The warning and danger signs
  • Dynamic risk assessments
