Phil Leather

Phil began his working career as a mining electrician. He studied throughout the 11 years of his employment, resulting in him obtaining IMEMME Hons in Electrical Engineering.

 

In 1988 he became a Police Officer with West Yorkshire Police. He spent 28 years as a police officer, the majority of which was in the role of Sergeant/team leader. He is a 'College of Policing' certified trainer and spent the last 9 years of his service working within the training environment, overseeing training of new police officers and delivering specialist training in areas such as Problem Solving and Crime Prevention.


Phil has a keen interest in health and fitness, and has participated in a number of fund raising marathons in several countries and more recently has enjoyed long distance cycle events, including following the route of the Yorkshire 'Grande depart'.
